Paula the Waldensian by Eva Lecomte

Paula the Waldensian is an interesting story of a family based in France. Paula is an orphan and from a village called Villar which is in the Waldensian Valley. She lives a very simple life and loves the usual farm animals such as cows, sheep and rabbits. This story has a Christian touch to it as Paula is brought up in a religious way and she loves Lord Jesus. She reads the religious scriptures as well. The love for her Lord and the Holy Scriptures are what her life revolves around. The story gets quite exciting at the point where she is at her cousins’ home where religious topics were not supposed to be discussed.
The story gradually builds up the characters and Paula’s interactions with her family are continuously talked about. Paula’s love for her Lord and his Word is what makes her special and by interacting with people around her she changes their lives. This is quite an interesting aspect of the story. This story is not only suitable for pre-teens and teens but for adults as well.
The story is packed with delightful descriptions and the terminologies used are quite surprising because such terminologies are only found in old books. It makes sense as well because the story is based in Old France. The story is told in a first person mode as if sharing a memory. The person shares the story in great detail and also shares defining moments which actually build the whole story.
This is a beautiful Christian fiction. The main character is quite sincere and her sincerity is what the readers would love. Paula is quite an ideal person in this story and is inspiring as well. The change that she brings in other people’s life is what is inspiring and makes this story a good read.
This story was first written in French and due to its public appeal it was later translated to French and then English as well.
About the author: Eva Lecomte writes Christian fiction. She is also involved in works related to emotional stories and novels. Paula the Waldensian is her masterpiece where she has written a great Christian fiction story with a lot of emotions related to family. It would not be surprising to see tears in eyes of people who read this book.
